Lancashire Safeguarding Adults board
Every day abuse of adults at risk goes unreported. Safeguarding adults means that local authorities, police and NHS agencies involved with adults who might be at risk of abuse have a duty of care to ensure that procedures are in place, that encourage reporting of suspected abuse, and take action to stop the abuse.

Lancashire County Council
We have a duty to protect children and young people from harm caused by neglect or abuse. This includes investigating any allegations that a child might be being neglected or abused, and if necessary take appropriate action to protect the child.

YouthZone
YouthZone provides comprehensive assessment and advocacy to inspire healthy relationships between youth, families, and communities.

Lancashire Road Safety Partnership
The LRSP is made up of individual organisations who work together to support effective coordination, and delivery of safer roads activity across Lancashire to reduce road casualties.
We do this through the promotion of: Safer People, Safer Speeds, Safer Vehicles, Safer Roads, and Post Collision Response.

The Crime Prevention Website is the largest and most comprehensive resource for free and independent Crime Prevention and Home Security advice online.

Domestic CCTV
This advice will help you to understand what you need to do if you are considering installing, or have already installed, a CCTV system (or similar technology, such as video-equipped doorbell devices) on your home. A CCTV system includes the camera, storage, recording and all associated equipment.

Crimestoppers
We’re an independent charity that gives you the power to speak up to stop crime, 100% anonymously. We also share advice on how to protect the people you care about from crime, so everyone can feel safe.

Lancashire Volunteer Partnership
Lancashire Volunteer Partnership (LVP) was established in 2016 between public services who wanted to provide one gateway into public service volunteering.

Every Mind Matters
The Every Mind Matters platform provides advice on common mental health concerns, how to look after your mental health and wellbeing, and where to get further support.

Talking Therapies
Sometimes people come to talking therapies after seeing a GP and have a clear idea of their problem. Often though, people know they are experiencing problems (feeling low, having panic attacks) but are unsure of exactly what the problem might be. This is normal and during your appointments, you and your practitioner can discuss this.

Samaritans
Whatever you’re going through, a Samaritan will face it with you. We’re here 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The Silver Line
We offer friendship, conversation, and support to older people aged 55 and over. Whatever the day or time, you can pick up the phone and speak to one of our friendly Silver Line team members.

Winter Water Safety

Staying Safe

Sarah’s Law
The Child Sex Offender Disclosure Scheme (CSODS) lets you formally ask the police whether someone who has contact with a child or children
It’s not a law, but it is sometimes called ‘Sarah’s Law’. It gives guidance on how you can ask us to use our existing police powers to share information about sex offenders.

Clare’s Law
Clare’s Law enables the police to release information about any previous history of violence or abuse a person might have. Under Clare’s Law you can:
- Apply for information about your current or ex-partner because you’re worries they may have a history of abuse and are at a risk to you
- Request information about the current or ex-partner of a friend or relative because you’re worried they might be at risk

Operation Snap
Operation Snap is Lancashire Constabulary’s response to the increasing submission of digital evidence relating to moving traffic offences witnessed by members of the public.

Paladin
Paladin NSAS is a trauma-informed service established in 2013, to assist high risk victims of stalking in England and Wales. Our unique trained team of accredited Independent Stalking Advocacy Caseworkers (ISACs) ensure that high risk victims of stalking are supported and that a coordinated community response is developed locally to keep victims and their children safe.
