The CCTV Hub combined the monitoring staff from three pre-existing CCTV control rooms monitoring CCTV images from 6 District areas: Preston, Burnley, Pendle (excluding Colne), Hyndburn, Rossendale and Blackburn with Darwen.
Staff are monitoring over 500 public space CCTV cameras from around these areas, together with access to police radio channels, police traffic channels and community radio systems. The Hub also has access to approximately 100 urban traffic control (UTC) CCTV cameras covering the Blackburn and Darwen parts of the Pennine Reach area, together with major road junctions across Blackburn and Darwen.
Additionally, and to assist with the deployment of Police Officers, direct CCTV feeds are transmitted through to the Command and Control at Police Headquarters at Hutton.
